Dr.Pandya

Immediately after acquiring his Medical Degree for B.J. Medical College in India, Dr. Pandya came to New York, in 1980. Within ten days of his arrival he was accepted in the Surgery Residency Program at Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He graduated from the five year program in 1985.

Upon Graduation he accepted a tour of duty with the United States Air Force as a Staff Surgeon and served for three years at Fairchild Air Force Base in the state of Washington till 1988.

In August of 1988, Dr. Pandya came to Porterville to start his private practice in General Surgery. He has been active in the community and in his professional life in and around Porterville. He has served the community via his positions in many organizations such as Porterville College Foundation Board, Porterville Rotary Club, and the Tulare County Medical Reserve Corps.

Professionally, he has served as a President of Tulare County Medical Society and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sierra View Medical Center.

In order to be able to serve and enhance healthcare in a variety of ways, Dr. Pandya and his family incorporated a non-profit, Pandya Family Foundation, in 2007. Through this foundation they have undertaken many service projects in Porterville and India.

Dr. Pandya's passion for Surgery has driven him to acquire the skills and knowledge for the latest in treatment and techniques for many surgical problems. He is uniquely qualified in GERD surgery, one of the very few Surgeions in the State.

Keeping patient convenience and promptness of care in mind, Dr. Pandya opened an out patient surgery center in 2004. It is the only Medicare certified Ambulatory Surgery Center in Porterville and been a blessing for many patients needing minor surgeries.
